The Keep

1983 | Drama/Horror | 1hr 36min

Nazi troops in World War II Romania awaken a supernatural evil when they set up camp in an ancient stone fortress.

Michael Mann takes on the F. Paul Wilson novel with little success, well according to some.

Not me. I love The Keep. Yes, it's not for everyone...yet I still love this film.

Nazis, a demon, Scott Glenn, Ian McKellen, Gabriel Byrne and Mann. Add Tangerine Dream and you have an atmosphere movie that just grabs you. I won't lie to you, the script needed work and it does get slow. But the visuals and music just brings me in and melts me.
