Attack on Paradise undeniably draws comparisons to The Raid with its brutal floor by floor siege premise, it manages to carve out its own identity thanks to a surprising amount of humor and a heart-melting story about an ex-con fighting to save his mother. As Suleyman battles his way through his gang-infested apartment block during a police raid gone wrong, director Bob Colaers delivers pulse-pounding, over-charged machismo and grounded fight choreography that perfectly highlights the physical strain of every brawl.

Sour Minnows might not make the best first impression, it quickly sinks its hooks into you. It's a funny, inventive, and utterly nightmarish film that completely defied my expectations, ultimately becoming one of the most delightfully disturbing and interesting movies I've seen this year.

Tight Lettuce to be an honest, deeply human, and remarkable debut feature. It doesn't offer easy answers or miraculous cinematic recoveries, choosing instead to close on a realistic note that acknowledges addiction as an ongoing battle.
